BurgerFuel Royal Oak is OPEN!
BurgerFuel Royal Oak is officially open and serving up gourmet burgers ahead of Kings Birthday.
The store presents a fresh, new look, introducing design accents from the recently refurbished BurgerFuel World Trade Center in Dubai, and is set to stand out amongst the charm and character of Royal Oaks popular hospitality hub along Manukau Road.
The progressive store design is not the only innovative approach to this store build.
Instead of the usual mix of gas and electric used to power a new outlet, the opportunity emerged to push the boundaries and head down a fully electric path. Thanks to the availability of a good electricity supply, electric versions of BurgerFuel’s core kitchen equipment, and streamlined installation options, the choice to power the whole store without gas was a natural step forward. Making BurgerFuel Royal Oak the first-ever store running 100% on electricity.
“Of course, going electric isn’t without its unknowns”, says Building Construction Manager Dylan, “It’s new territory for our crew and our kitchens, and we’ll be putting the gear through its paces to make sure it holds up to the BurgerFuel standard”. This switch could pave the way for how BurgerFuel design and power stores into the future.
BurgerFuel Royal Oak opens under the leadership of Varun, a seasoned operator with 12 years of BurgerFuel experience. From crew member to Head Office Area Manager, and most recently franchisee of the successful Dunedin store, Varun brings operational expertise and passion for the brand. Known for his humour and down-to-earth attitude, he’s excited to connect with the local community. “Once the store’s up and running, I’m looking forward to getting to know the neighbourhood,” says Varun. “From supporting emergency services to collaborating with nearby businesses — that’s the part of the job I really love.”
