Burgerfuel Opens Number 10 In The Uae
BurgerFuel Worldwide (BFW) has announced the opening of its second restaurant in Abu Dhabi at the The Galleria in Sowwah Square. This is the tenth BurgerFuel restaurant to open in the UAE, making it a total of 16 restaurants in the Middle East.
Sowwah Square, Abu Dhabi’s new CBD, is a newly opened shopping and dining precinct in the heart of Al Maryah Island in the northeast of Abu Dhabi. The Galleria, a 33,000 square metre retail shopping and dining destination, sits in the very heart of Sowwah Square, with a stunning waterfront promenade. The Galleria opened its doors today for the first time – featuring a mix of high-end retailers, restaurants and cafés. With a long list of iconic luxury brands such as Polo Ralph Lauren, Hugo Boss, Prada and Gucci, the Galleria is a premium site for this newest BurgerFuel restaurant. In addition to the high end retail offerings at The Galleria, the Sowwah Square development is the home of the Abu Dhabi stock exchange (ADX), two five star luxury hotels in the Four Seasons and the Rosewood and four Grade A landmark commercial towers.
Chris Mason, CEO International Markets, says “This marks the second restaurant we have opened in Abu Dhabi in just over a month. It’s great to be opening in a brand new mall on day one and fantastic for the many people in Abu Dhabi who have been waiting for more BurgerFuel restaurants to open in the capital”.
The BurgerFuel master franchise license for the UAE is held by Al Khayyat Investments (AKI). General Manager of Food & Beverage at AKI, Farah George Farah, said “The Galleria mall has been under construction for a while and we are excited to be in the new heart of Abu Dhabi with all the other premium brands. We have a strong presence in Dubai so it is great to be growing our presence in Abu Dhabi now to meet the local demand”.
BurgerFuel Worldwide (BFW) is a New Zealand gourmet burger concept and is listed on the New Zealand Stock Exchange (NZAX). BFW shares are currently trading at $1.68.
